What to do while you're here... Unwind!

Stroll around Simply Divine admiring the beautiful grounds with a variety of trees and plantings. Kick back on one of our wonderful Southern porches or bring a book and enjoy our large IN-GROUND POOL.

There are numerous settings to call your own for relaxation. The Dunn-Erwin Trail, located a 1/2 mile from the Inn, offers a 5 mile trail for walking, jogging or biking. Golf and tennis are close by Simply Divine. There is an antique shop one block from the B&B and several more in Downtown Dunn which is just minutes away. There are several day spas conveniently located close by. Stroll around the neighborhood admiring the stately, well maintained residences. One block away is the General Lee Museum, honoring the founder of the Airborne Regiment.

What to do in Dunn if you’re a …

History buff:

1)      General William C. Lee Airborne Museum – Gen. Lee founded the US Airborne Regiment

2)      Averasboro Civil War Battlefield and Museum – the 2nd to last Civil War battle fought in NC

3)      Bentonville Battlefield – the last Civil War battle fought in NC

 

Outdoors type:

1)      Raven Rock State park – 4,000 acres located on the Cape Fear River, featuring an immense crystalline structure that rises 150 feet in the air.

2)      Cape Fear Canoe Trails – Canoe through the history of the Cape Fear River. The river flows some 55 miles past farms and forest, over the remains of locks and dams buildt in the early years of the nation, past Revolutionary and Civil War sites. You can rent a canoe or kayak by the hour, day or overnight at Cape Fear Canoe Center, 877-55Canoe.

3)      Dunn Erwin Rail Trail – A scenic 5.3 mile rail corridor that has been transformed into a nature trail for walking, biking and strolling.

 

Shopper:

1)      Sunrise Antiques – This 15,000 square foot antique, estate and designer furniture mall has something for everyone including; rare and unusual selections of antique and estate furnishings; collectables such as glassware and lighting; Persian rugs; and much, much more.

2)      My Paris Apartment – Downtown Dunn is the home of this funky shop. There is something here to suit all tastes.

3)      Benson Flea Markets – Find that special and unique item.

4)      RET House Interiors – Located in the heart of downtown Dunn, it offers unique gifts and everything to decorate a home or office. Its large library of fabric, flooring, and wallpaper allows us to meet your full design needs. It specializes in both custom residential and commercial projects.
